The Blissful Pear Green Smoothie

Pears are in season at the moment and I have been adding them to green smoothies. Ripe and soft pears make a creamy smoothie and coconut butter makes it even creamier. I always add chia seeds to green smoothies because not only are they very nutritious, they thicken up the smoothie. 

The Blissful Pear Green Smoothie


  • A pear, cut in small pieces
  • 1/3 of  a cos lettuce
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • few sprigs of parsley
  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds
  • 1 tsp of coconut butter
  • a glass of water
  • few cubes of ice


Add water, cos lettuce, spinach, and parsley to blender first. Then add in the pear, chia seeds, coconut butter, and the ice cubes. Blend until all the ingredients are incorporated. It should be glowing green when it's ready. I added coconut flakes as a topping in the picture but the smoothie is delicious on its own too.
