Do you get restless on a Sunday anxious about the upcoming Monday? If you do, you are in for a treat! Let’s turn those Sundays into Fun Days!
I want you to brew a cup of tea or make some green juice and prepare yourself for some inspiration and entertainment to get you out of that funk. Keep a pen, a notebook, and your calendar by your side because you will want to bottle those inspirations so you can take them “to-go” for the week ahead. Writing it down, putting it in the calendar, and making a step by step plan makes it more likely to accomplish your goals.
1. Try a new dish. Last week I made my first ever cauliflower rice. Basically it's grated or blended cauliflower steamed or sauteed. After trying it, I understand why people are making such a big deal out of it. It's a delicious way to eat cauliflower, and that means a lot because cauliflower is not my favourite vegetable. I sauteed mine in coconut oil and cinnamon with a touch of sea salt and my flat mates loved it. A step by step instruction here.
2. Meet like minded people. Have a hobby that you want to cultivate and want some social support? Get on meetup.com and find people who like the same things as you do. It's inspiring and motivational when you have the support of like minded people. If there are no meet up groups, start your own. I was looking for minimalist groups in my city but there was none, so I started my own. It's called Melbourne Minimalist Meetups! (or Mmm!). Our first meeting is now scheduled for this Saturday so if you are in Melbourne , come and see me :)
3. Listen to something inspiring. Just before writing this post, I have just signed up for my fourth summit produced by the Women's International Summit for Health ( WISH). This summit is on detoxifying your home, your body, and your life. These are a series of podcasts sent emailed directly to your inbox. I usually download them and listen to them on my daily commute. After listening to each summit I have made some significant life changes because the speakers are so amazing. Also, it's free! To find out more click here.
By now your tea is finished and your notebook has plenty of scribbles. I hope you are calmer, more inspired, and looking forward to the new week with a fresh perspective.
With love & simplicity,
