Warming Ginger Tea

Image Want something hot and nourishing drink as the weather cools? Try adding fresh ginger to your tea. Fresh ginger tea is quite different from packet ginger tea, it's very strong and spicy - great if you like strong flavours. Try this tea if you feel a cold is coming on, or if you want some warming, caffeine free, hot drink.

Ginger Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of boiled water
  • a small knob of fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of apple cider (or lemon juice)
  • honey to your taste (Raw organic honey is preferred. It has all the goodies as opposed to pasteurised runny honey)

Directions:

Slice the ginger thinly or crush the ginger and add it to a large mug. Add rest of the ingredients and mix. Taste and add honey to your preferred sweetness.
